General questions
How can I obtain the game?
The Master of Maya game is available to download from your operator’s website. Unfortunately not all operators yet offer Master of Maya. You are advised to contact your operator directly to find out if and when the game will be available. A list of all of the operators that already offer Master of Maya may be found here.

Which operators/providers will be offering the game?
A list of all of the operators that already offer Master of Maya may be found here. If your operator is not on the list, the best way to find out when it will begin offering the game is to contact it directly. You may also wish to keep an eye on Master of Maya News, which will let you know whenever additional operators start offering Master of Maya.

Do any mobile phone models come with the game preinstalled?
The only way to obtain the game at the moment is to download it from your operator’s site. Keep an eye on Master of Maya News, which will report immediately should Master of Maya become available as a preinstalled feature on any model of mobile phone.

Where do I find the game once I have downloaded it onto my mobile phone?
The game will appear in the Games folder on your mobile phone once it has finished downloading.

How many friends can I play at Master of Maya simultaneously?
You can play one opponent at a time.

How can I challenge my friends to join the game?
Select Infection from the menu to send your friends a text message containing a link to the game. Your friends can download the game onto their mobile phone by following this link and you can all then lay down the gauntlet to each other.

Where can I find tips to help me play the game?
You can find answers to questions about game play in the Instructions on the website under Master of Maya. You can also view/download the Quickstart guide for the game.

Whom should I contact if I run into technical problems when playing the game?
Please contact the Support.
Game progress questions
How do I obtain additional packs of cards?
Go to Cards on Phone or Manage Deck in the main menu and select Purchase Cards. You will then be guided through the purchase process automatically.

What happens if my opponent breaks off the connection during a battle?
You can continue the battle if your opponent is also still online provided the interruption lasts no longer than 15 minutes. Simply start again and you will be asked whether you wish to continue the last battle.

What happens if I have to abandon a battle?
The battle concerned is discounted – effectively the game continues as if the battle had never started. If you have sacrificed a card, the sacrificed card is restored to your deck, and any Bloodshields you have earned in the battle are cancelled. Be careful not to abandon too many games: if your statistics suggest a strong tendency to abandon games that appear lost, the Master of Maya Community may impose sanctions. Players can even be excluded from the Master of Maya world altogether in the most severe cases.

What happens to my statistics if I have to abandon a battle?
Nothing. The battle concerned is discounted – effectively the game continues as if the battle had never started.
Technical questions
Which mobile networks can I use to play the game?

What happens if I lose network coverage?
The battle will be interrupted when you lose coverage, but you can resume it as soon as the connection is re-established.

Can I play Master of Maya if I have no reception?
You can play the game offline in training mode. The training mode (Training Battle) offers you a very useful way to familiarize yourself with the game’s combat system and the characters.

Can I play Master of Maya if I am not online?
This is possible in training mode (Training Battle). The training mode offers you a very useful way to familiarize yourself with the game’s combat system and the characters.

Can I play the game on any type of mobile phone?

I have not received the download. Why might this be?
The download can fail for a number of reasons.
Start by checking your mobile phone’s GPRS settings. You can view the correct/required GPRS settings at your operator's website. Please contact the Service hotline of your operator if you encounter any further problems.

Can I also receive calls while I am playing Master of Maya?
It is usually possible to accept incoming calls. This does vary from phone type to phone type, however, and your countdowns will continue to run, so we advise you to return calls later where possible.

Can I play the game even if I am using a mobile phone with a prepaid card?
Of course you can play Master of Maya using a prepaid card.

What happens if my mobile phone is not compatible with Master of Maya?
Check whether Master of Maya will work with your phone before downloading the game. You can find a list of the types of mobile phone that currently support Master of Maya here.

How much free memory does Master of Maya need on my mobile phone?
It depends on the type of phone you have. You can check the size of the client for the various types of phone with which Master of Maya is currently compatible here. The amount of free memory required is of course also affected by the number of cards you wish to store on your mobile phone and whether or not you have the card graphics activated.

What happens if I run out of memory capacity for new cards?
New cards are first loaded directly onto the server, from where you can transfer them to your mobile phone using the Recruit Army option under Manage Deck in the main menu. A warning message will appear if you have insufficient space left on your mobile phone. You can free up memory for your new cards by uploading old or duplicated cards from your mobile phone to the server.

Can I play Master of Maya via Bluetooth?
Not yet – but we do plan to add this function to the game. You can keep yourself up to date on this issue by checking Master of Maya News.
Website questions
What can I find in the members’ area?
The members’ area offers you the following options: Statistics, My Cards, Trade Cards, Profile, Forum and Hall of Fame. You are able to manage your own Profile, view the martial decorations you have earned in combat, select new gamer tags, view your battle statistics, view all of your cards, chat with other players in the Forum and strike deals to exchange cards with other players.

How can I register for the members´ area?
The members´ area is only open for players of the game „Master of Maya“. If you have purchased the game and connect first time to the server you have to enter a username and a password to register for the game. After your registration for the game you are automatically registered at the website and you can log in to the website with this username and password.

How do I view my statistics?
You can view your Statistics and use the other Community features (Forum, My Cards, Profile, Trade Cards) as soon as you have registered in the members’ area and created your Profile. Your Statistics show your latest combat values and the number and type of cards currently in your possession. Only you can view these details.

What is My Cards?
Go there to view all of your cards.

How do I make it into the Hall of Fame?
You become a registered member of the Master of Maya Community the first time you log in to the game. Your username then automatically appears in the Hall of Fame. You can view the Hall of Fame by logging in to the members’ area.

How often is the Hall of Fame updated?
The Hall of Fame is updated every time it is accessed.

Where can I find instructions for the game?
The full instructions for the game may be found on the website in the menu item The Game under Instructions. You can find animated Quickstart instructions here.

Where can I find information about the characters?
You can find out all about the different characters under the menu items The Game and Character Cards.

Where can I find information about the Treasure Cards?
You can find out all about the treasure cards here.

Where can I find information about the Mutation Cards?

Where can I find information about the Transformation Levels?
You can find out all about the Transformation Levels here.

Where can I find information about the martial decorations?
You can review the achievements that earned you each martial decoration by moving the mouse over the item concerned. This will bring up the rollover help box, which explains the background to the award.

How do I register to use the Forum?
You become a registered member of the Master of Maya Community the first time you log in to the game. You are automatically registered to use the Forum as soon as you log in to the members’ area and create your Profile.

Do I have to be registered in the Forum in order to play Master of Maya?
No, you can play Master of Maya from your mobile phone without any restrictions even if you are not registered in the Forum. The members’ area does, however, offer additional functions such as Profile, Statistics, My Cards and Trade Cards, and enables you to manage your own Profile, view the martial decorations you have earned in combat, select new gamer tags, view your battle statistics, view all of your cards, chat with other players in the Forum and strike deals to exchange cards with other players.

Where can I find other Master of Maya players on the website?
You can join discussions and swap with other players in the Forum.

What is the Buddy List?
This is a list of friends and preferred opponents you have met while playing Master of Maya.

How do I add friends to my Buddy List?
Enter your friend’s nickname in the Buddy List on the right-hand side of the website or add the name to your Buddy List after a battle against the opponent concerned.

Why can I not purchase cards via the Community web page?
Master of Maya is the first trading card game for your mobile phone, so we have tried to keep as many of the game functions as possible on your phone. This means that you can always load the coolest decks of cards onto your mobile phone wherever you are without having to rely on a PC with internet access.
What charges will I incur while playing Master of Maya?
On the one hand you have to purchase the client and the boosterpacks containing the cards. For the prices please ask your mobile operator.
On the other hand you will have to pay for the data traffic playing in multiplayer mode and during the download of your cards. Please ask your mobile operator for the amount of charges or if data flatrates are available.
